Living Together

Smarter Transport

We will be addressing issues faced by public transport such as overcrowded busses, empty busses that are not needed and assigning the correct bus for the situation. We will develop a programme that will control the timetabling of buses by using AI to analyse previous data collected from past years and current live data to see when to adjust a certain timetable

Dundee Discover AI

We will be using AI to make bus travel more efficient, less time consuming and greener for the environment. Driverless busses, bus stops and personal devices will be linked via the internet, allowing buses to provide the most efficient trip based on customers in the area.

Eco Travel

Our idea tries to combat the problem of increasing air pollution in crowded areas. The solution is an app using AI to suggest less polluted routes to drivers and travellers  and recommending drivers with less polluting cars to travellers.

SmartTraffic

Our idea takes congestion within cities into consideration. We will tap into existing city infrastructure such as weight sensors under roads and cameras on traffic lights. Through tapping into these, we can use AI and data stored to try to lower congestion.

Vivado

Our idea is a safe transport and assault prevention app. Our AI uses location data from the phone’s GPS as well as crime data from government databases online to have a constantly updating feed of crime in the user’s current area. Our app will help people live and travel more safely, and get access to help and safety when needed.

Social Kindness

An app that detects online bullying by scanning the screen for words or phrases that may be considered inappropriate, this then sends a message to your phone to approve if it was meant in a malicious way. If it comes back as negative, then this will be sent off to the social medias to report these people and have an action.

Living Longer

MyMentor

Many from the older generation are unable to fluently interact with and control their technology. Our idea is an application to be installed on the computers of those who are less familiar with modern technology, that will help them make use of technology e.g. with the help of voice commands.
